50  10mm Black and Gold Wool Beads

Although called wool beads they feel more like they are made of foam with bits of tinsel sticking out. They are very effective and really catch the light. They do not have a hole you simply thread through with a needle. I have also seen these sold as pom poms for kids crafts.
